My Favorite Snacks to Eat While I Read

snacks

A good book is not complete without snacks. There are so many good options out there. My personal favorite combination right now is peppermint tea, tortilla chips, and Ghirardelli peppermint bark. Today I thought I would share some of my favorite snack recipes that don’t take long so you can get back to your book.

Puppy Chow

  • 9 Cups of Corn Chex
  • 1/2 Cup of Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 Cup of butter
  • 1 Cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 1 1/2 Cups of powdered sugar

Melt chocolate chips, butter, peanut butter on low until smooth. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Then coat Chex in this mixture. Move mixture into a large Ziploc bag and add powdered sugar. Shake until coated. At this point I am supposed to say let the mixture cool and dry on a piece of wax paper. However, I eat it as soon as its mixed up. I have no self control. This stuff is addictive.

Another favorite of mine is ranch popcorn. It is super simple. Pop a bag of popcorn like normal. As soon is it is finished sprinkle a half a packet of ranch dressing mix and shake to combine.

Those are a few of my favorite snacks. Tell me in the comments what some of your favorite snacks are!
