A good book is not complete without a good snack. There are so many good options out there. My personal favorite combination right now is peppermint tea, tortilla chips, and Ghirardelli peppermint bark. Today I thought I would share some of my favorite snack recipes that don’t take long so you can get back to your book.
- 9 Cups of Corn Chex
- 1/2 Cup of Peanut Butter
- 1/4 Cup of butter
- 1 Cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1 1/2 Cups of powdered sugar
Melt chocolate chips, butter, peanut butter on low until smooth. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Coat Chex in this mixture. Move mixture into a large Ziploc bag and add powdered sugar. Shake until coated. At this point I am supposed to say let the mixture cool and dry on a piece of wax paper. However, I eat it as soon as its mixed up. I have no self control. This stuff is addictive.
Another favorite of mine is ranch popcorn. It is super simple. Pop a bag of popcorn like normal. As soon is it is finished sprinkle a half a packet of ranch dressing mix and shake to combine.
Those are a few of my favorite snacks. Tell me in the comments what some of your favorites are!
