Let’s face it. 2020 has been hard. This is quite possibly the hardest year that I’ve ever experienced. I know many people that feel the same way. But tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the U.S., and I think we could all take some time to remember the things that we are thankful for. I know most people are not getting to celebrate like normal, but let’s find those good things in life and cling to them. Here are a few of mine.
I’ve always been thankful for my family. They mean the world to me. This year, I have a major thing to be thankful for. My father had some health problems in the early fall. I’m not going to go into detail. It’s a long story, but he is still here. I was really afraid that I was going to lose him, but he is recovering wonderfully.
I have a lot of great friends. I know that I could trust them with anything. One of my lifelong friends is moving and will be closer to home soon. And another lifelong friend is getting married. I’m thankful everyday for them.
Obviously, I have a whole blog dedicated toward them. Reading is more than just a hobby for me. It’s a huge part of my life. I will always be thankful for having the ability to read and purchase books. It’s not something to take lightly. There are so many people that don’t have that privilege.
The Book Community
Lastly, I am thankful for you guys! I know I’m new to the book community, but it has welcomed me with open arms. I’m thankful for everyone who stops by and visits the blog. Each comment and like fills me with joy! I love interacting with everyone. I’m thankful that you take time out of your day to visit my blog!
Those are just a few of the things I’m thankful for. I know that I’m so blessed, even in the hard times. I hope you all have a happy, healthy Thanksgiving!
