If you haven’t figured it out by now, I love Halloween. I love all the spooky costumes and games. And any holiday that involves massive amounts of candy and treats is great in my book. Unfortunately, in my hometown, there isn’t much to do on Halloween if you don’t have children. So my husband and I have decided to start going on vacation for Halloween. Here are a few Halloween destinations on my bucket list.
I just really want to go back to Savannah. I fell in love with this city. It is known for it’s ghost stories and haunted houses. I really want to go on a few of the ghost tours that they offer. Bonaventure Cemetery also offers after hour tours on Halloween.
St. Helens, Oregon
St. Helens, Oregon is where Halloweentown was filmed. In October, they decorate the town to look exactly like it did when they filmed the movie. Every year they host The Spirit of Halloween Town festival all month long. The festival has pumpkin carving contests, costume contests, and so many more fun Halloween activities.
Salem, Massachusetts is where the worst of the witch trials happened. I have always been interested in the history of that. Massachusetts, in general, is rich in history. I would like to go anytime of year, but they also host a lot of Halloween events. It would be a great time to check it off of my bucket list.
New Orleans, Louisiana
New Orleans is another spooky city that I would like to visit. It is supposedly on of the most haunted cities in America. Halloween would be a perfect time to visit.
Have you been to any of these Halloween destinations? If you have let me know in the comments! Also, if you have any other destinations that you would recommend, let me know!
