The Bookish Box: July Unboxing

I’m doing an unexpected unboxing today, because I sort of forgot that I was subscribed to this. I’ve purchased boxes from The Bookish Box in the past and the quality has never let me down. This is the adult themed box, so the content is not fandom themed. I enjoyed getting just general bookish goodies. The July theme was Book Club.

Unboxing the Goodies

As always, they are generous with their goodies. They include high-quality items that I will actually use. I adored the spoiler card, because it included a fun recipe for lavender pink lemonade. I may have to try that soon.

Look at these adorable socks! I am already wearing them. My feet are perpetually cold, so I always appreciate socks.

I love this little bangle that says “bookish.” It is delicate and subtle. Please don’t judge my nails. This girl needs a manicure.

I get to add a little bookish fun to my kitchen with this bottle opener. I’m a sucker for drinks in a glass bottle, so this will be put to use.

These are the cutest bookmarks. Hadron Epoch Designs designed them. Three variations were included. I am so glad I got this set. I love marble.

This is definitely my favorite thing in the entire box. The Bookish Shop designed it and to my surprise it is color changing.

The Book

Synopsis:

For Eve Porter, whose husband’s sudden death cheats her of every security she had planned on, the club is a place of sanctuary. Annie Blake, a brilliant attorney intent on starting a family late in life, it is the chance to finally let down her guard and dream of other possibilities. For Doris Bridges, it is her support group as she acknowledges her dying marriage and finds the ultimate freedom in her husband’s betrayal. For Gabriella Rivera, the “perfect” wife, mother and friend who offers support to everyone but is afraid to ask for it herself, it is a sense of community. And for Midge Kirsch, an artist who has always lived her life against the grain, it is a haven of acceptance.

They are five women from different walks of life, embracing the challenge of change. And as they share their hopes and fears and triumphs, they will hold fast to the true magic of the book club–friendship.

The Book Club is not something I would pick up on my own. But I guess I will give it a shot. I have been saying I need to branch out.
