Happy Friday, guys! I started out my day by reading on the front porch. I was trying to figure out what to blog about today, since don’t have a book to review. It’s July 10th and I haven’t even finished a book. I knew July was going to be busy and I was right. I have been reading, but not a lot. So today we are just going to chat. Grab a cup of coffee and join my book chat.

If you read my tbr for the month, you’ll know I only put two books on it. That’s because I want to read Fall of Giants. It’s a massive book. It is incredibly detailed and follows so many characters. I have started it and I am loving it. I’m on page 373, but I still have a lot to go. I have fallen in love with the writing style and the characters. I was worried that I would have a hard time keeping track of so many characters and storylines, but that hasn’t been an issue. The characters are so distinct that it is easy to keep them separated.

I’ve also been reading Pestilence this week. It’s been great so far. My plan is to finish it up in the next couple of days, so that I can work on my review. Reading next week is going to be all over the place. We are going camping, so I will be packing and doing all that fun stuff. I hope that I get the chance to finish a book when we get there. More than likely won’t take Fall of Giants. I still have to complete my reading challenge prompt for this month, so that will be my priority. If the books are shorter, I will have a better chance of completing one. I’m not going to tell you what I’m taking, because I have a post coming up about it. I can guarantee that they will be thrillers.

So that is my reading update. I hope to get a lot of reading in the rest of the month. Maybe I’ll even finish a book, lol. My goal is to finish Fall of Giants. Hopefully that will happen.
